The Divisa Ensemble
ECYS Ensemble-In-Residence

ECYS is pleased to present the Divisa Ensemble, the ECYS Ensemble-In-Residence!

The Ensemble will oversee the
Divisa Honors Program
, which is offered to select ECYS musicians who have signed up to participate in the ECYS Chamber Music Program. The students will be invited to study with the ensemble, and will be special guest performers at a Divisa Ensemble Recital.

Student ensembles will also be selected for master class and competition opportunities.

About the Divisa Ensemble

The Divisa Ensemble was formed in 2009 and performs classical music spanning the Baroque Era through the modern day. The ensemble has four members - Adrienne Malley (oboe), Stephanie Ng (viola), Sara Styles (cello), and Tomiko Tsai (flute). They mix and match, performing repertoire in different string and wind instrument combinations. Divisa Ensemble biographies.

Opportunities to Participate in Chamber Music!
In addition to prestigious Divisa Honors Program, ECYS Chamber Music is open to students of the Senior Symphony, Sinfonietta, and Galbraith Honor Strings
who play: violin, viola, cello, oboe, flute, clarinet, bassoon, or French horn.

ECYS Director of Winds
Debra Gardner and members of the Divisa Ensemble will serve as faculty for the student ensembles.

Each ensemble is coached weekly by ECYS faculty and closely studies a work of the major repertoire. Community outreach performances are a large component of the program, and students are able to earn community service hours through their participation in the program. This program is a school-year long commitment, running from fall to spring.

The Divisa Honors and ECYS Chamber Music programs are scholarship programs;
therefore they are offered without fee to students who are committed and
ready to contribute their time and enthusiasm.

Applications are selected and placed based on recom-mendation by faculty
and the instruments needed to comprise each chamber music group.
Interested musicians should contact the ECYS office for an application.
