The Galbraith Honor Strings are named in honor of the founder of the El Camino Youth Symphony, William Galbraith, who was the first music director of ECYS.

Truly the pride and joy of Music Director Dr. Camilla Kolchinsky, Galbraith Honor Strings offers talented young string players training in a focused environment. Working closely with Dr. Kolchinsky and sectional coaches to develop their musicality and technique, these gifted young musicians provide outstanding performances for their loyal audience.

Galbraith musicians are eligible to form quartets and enroll in the ECYS Chamber Music & Performance Outreach Program.
