Programs El Camino Wind Orchestra El Camino Wind Orchestra

Tony Clements, Conductor

The ECWO is a wind orchestra comprised of talented high school wind players from the Bay Area. The orchestra’s emphasis is to perform music written by living composers. The young musicians are exposed to great works by relatively unknown composers; and the listening audience is exposed to great performances of outstanding contemporary composers.

In addition to its regular schedule of three performances locally, last season the Ohlone Wind Orchestra invited the ECWO to Fremont to perform at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts. The Ohlone Wind Orchestra is one of the leading professional quality wind bands in the United States today.

In 2006-2007, the ECWO will perform with the Hayward State East Bay Bands, for a shared performance in March 2007 (see calendar).
