El Camino “EC” Flute Ensemble
EC Flutes

EC Flutes is a senior ensemble open to serious and advanced flutists. The exploration of professional level repertoire in both the flute choir and chamber music idioms dramatically improves the skills of these talented young flutists. Students perform in three major concerts each year and in numerous community service concerts at local hospitals and retirement facilities.

Each member of the flute ensemble participates in a smaller trio or quartet. Several of these smaller ensembles have won regional and state competitions.


 

 

Intermezzo Flute Ensemble
Intermezzo Flute Ensemble

The Intermezzo Flute Choir is a high-level intermediate flute ensemble geared towards preparing students for the senior EC Flute Ensemble. Students will dramatically improve their technique through challenging repertoire and scale and technical drills. The Intermezzo Flute Ensemble performs in three concerts each year. The top four students are selected for the Intermezzo Flute Quartet, which performs in the Annual Ice Cream Social Concert in May of each year.

Overture Flute Ensemble

The Overture Flute Ensemble is a preparatory flute choir aimed specifically towards highly motivated and talented young flutists from 3rd grade to 7th grade who show great potential. This ensemble is perfect for the late-beginner and intermediate players. Students gain ensemble experience, improved tone and intonation, expanded range and a greater command over their technique. The Overture Flute Ensemble performs in three concerts each year.
