Now Accepting Spring Audition Applications!

El Camino Youth Symphony is accepting audition applications for the 2017-18 Season! Audition appointments will be scheduled for March/April as faculty schedules permit. Apply online at!

Our Conductors have some great music planned for next season!

At the 
Senior Symphony, Maestro Jindong Cai's program will feature: Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, Bernstein "Symphonic Dances" from West Side Story, a movie music-themed Holiday Pops Concert, fantastic guest artists, student soloists, and more! 

The Sinfonietta Orchestra, entering its third season under the baton of John Eells, will include the following highlights: Beethoven Overture Consecration of the HouseMendelssohn Hebrides Overture, and Vaughan Williams English Folk Song Suite among others!

The El Camino Wind Orchestra, led by Dr. Richard Roper, will perform pieces by Vaughn WilliamsTicheliShostakovich, and Bach.

Guided by Mariya Borozina, the Galbraith Honor Strings program will feature different styles of works, varying from Vivaldi and Bach to Holst and Andersen. Highlights include Haydn Symphony 45 and selections from Grieg Holberg Suite.

Summer Music Conservatory

July 17-28, 2017; M-F only

Registration is open for the ECYS Summer Music Conservatory! Aimed at musicians ages 6-14, the Conservatory offers four classes, including the new Viola Voyagers program! ECYS invites members and non-members to participate. Sign up at A placement audition is required.

From Beginning Orchestra, the ideal "first orchestra" experience, to Intermediate Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Winds for advanced-intermediate students, this two-week workshop is a great way to stay tuned-up over the summer!

New this summer: Viola Voyagers! The two-week class, for students with at least two years of violin experience, will introduce players to the viola and reading alto clef. No prior viola experience is required. An instrument will be provided.
