El Camino Youth Symphony is pleased to offer you placement in

Senior Symphony Orchestra for the 2017-18 Season!

Regular rehearsals on Sundays, 3:30-6:30pm in Palo Alto

The Senior Symphony represents the highest level of artistic achievement.

Maestro Cai has an ambitious and exciting program planned for the upcoming season, including Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique, Bernstein "Symphonic Dances" from West Side Story, Orff Carmina Burana, and a Holiday Pops Concert featuring movie music favorites!

ECYS will collaborate with fantastic professional artists, including Oakland Symphony Conductor Michael Morgan who will narrate Copland's Lincoln Portrait while highlighting our own young Concerto Competition Winners throughout the year. Our 55th Season is shaping up to be a great one!

Important dates to note: Senior Symphony begins the season at the Annual Retreat, August 6-11, 2017 at UC Santa Cruz. ECYS invites parents to volunteer as chaperones. Please contact Eman Isadiar: if you would like to supervise retreat.

Registration is due by May 14th!

Your position in Symphony for next season is not secure until you have completed all forms and made all necessary payments.

As we have a waiting list for many positions, please kindly inform the Office at (650) 213-7111 or immediately if you do not plan to enroll in ECYS next season.

August Retreat
August 6-11, 2017

The retreat is fundamental not only to the quality of the overall program, but to each student’s individual progress. It is the first step towards a rewarding season. The musicians are scheduled for two sectionals and a full orchestra rehearsal each day where they are expected to work diligently and to achieve their potential. 
Chamber Music Program
September to January

Chamber Music is open to musicians who play violin, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, and French horn. Each ensemble is coached weekly by ECYS faculty and closely studies a work of the major repertoire. This is an optional, scholarship program for members. More info >>
